Gasthof Unterberg Alois Schwaiger GmbH is committed to making the Hostel Maria Alm website accessible in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG).

This statement applies to the website hostelmariaalm.at, including its German- and English-language subpages as well as the integrated enquiry and booking functions.

Service Description

The website provides information about Hostel Maria Alm, its rooms and communal areas, as well as accommodation options for solo travellers, families, school classes, clubs and other groups. It also provides information on facilities, catering and leisure activities in Maria Alm and the Hochkönig region. Users can view stays and offers, request a non-binding quote and book online.

The content can be used with current desktop and mobile browsers and, in principle, with assistive technologies. Information and support for booking are also available by phone or email.

Compliance Status

This website is currently partially compliant with the requirements of the Accessibility Act. The technical guidelines are the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 at conformance level AA and the relevant requirements of the European standard EN 301 549.

The partial compliance results from the content and functions described below that are not yet fully accessible.

Content Not Fully Accessible

Booking and Inquiry Process

The online booking and inquiry process is provided via external booking software. Individual controls, selection fields, as well as status, error, and validation messages may not yet be consistently optimized for screen readers or other assistive technologies.

The remediation of barriers within this application is sometimes only possible in cooperation with the external provider.

Webcam

A live webcam that may be embedded on the website is provided by an external provider. The controls and media content contained therein may not be fully operable with a keyboard or screen readers. An equivalent textual representation of the current live image is not currently available.

Sliders and Image Galleries

For individual sliders and image galleries, the current image change and position within the image sequence may not be fully output by all screen readers.

Automatically Playing Content

Individual decorative videos play automatically and repeatedly without sound. These videos do not currently always have a pause option. They do not convey essential information that is not also available via text or static images.

Disproportionate Burden

Currently, no content is exempt from accessibility requirements due to disproportionate burden.

The assessment was based on a self-assessment and a technical review of selected pages, page templates, and central functions. In particular, navigation, keyboard operation, focus management, dialogues, overlays, consent manager, and the inquiry and booking functions were considered.
